When creating a validator on the imToken Staking page, two signatures are typically required:
- First Signature: Used to send the prepaid service fee transaction. The service fee is prepaid into the account and used to cover infrastructure and operation costs when block rewards are insufficient to pay the fees. Since this is an on-chain transaction, gas fees apply.
- Second Signature: Used to submit the staking request to the Ethereum network. Since this is also an on-chain transaction, gas fees apply. Staking is only finalized once this transaction is confirmed on the blockchain.
Note: If you have already participated in staking and the system prompts you to pay historical service fees when creating a new staking order, please follow the on-screen instructions to complete the signatures for the historical service fee, prepaid service fee, and staking transaction step by step.
